Custom water features can bring a whole new dimension to your backyard pool. Maybe a simple bubbler or a more extravagant water feature like a natural waterfall, the concept of moving water attracts attention and gets people talking. By incorporating water features into your poolscape, you’ll not only add an artistic element, but more depth and character. From sheer descents, grottos, tanning ledges (sunshelfs), swim up bars, table tops and more, the pool design experts at Enciso’s Pool Construction can help you select the right water feature that complements your swimming pool and creates your own backyard staycation.
Tanning Ledge also known as sunshelf is a flat ledge typically located at the entrance of the pool. This tanning ledge is the perfect location for a lounge chair or beach umbrella. It is a great area for those who want to avoid getting fully submerged while enjoying the pool.
Beach-Entries are designed with a gradually sloped entry from the deck into the water, similar to a natural beach. No stairs or ladders are necessary to enter the pool.
Bubblers are fun water features that spout up from shallow pool surfaces. Kids have a fun splash pad when placed on a beach entry or tanning ledge. Go for a more luxurious look using the right LED lighting, they create striking centerpieces.
Waterfalls make a classic addition to any pool style and are popular with children. Our custom designed pool waterfalls offer endless design options – from natural rock waterfalls to flagstone waterfalls and spa spillovers.
A grotto uses rock & boulders (natural or man-made) to create a small cave where water runs-off, giving your pool an exotic, tropical element. You can create a romantic getaway or a place to hide a pirate’s treasure – the choice is up to you.
A sheer descent or scupper is a straight, linear water feature that drops a glass-like sheet of water into your pool creating an elegant, majestic look with a soothing water sound.
Deck Jets shoot streams of water from the deck or tile line into the pool. Laminars arc across the swimming pool for an elegant addition to your swimming pool. Magnify these water features with LED lights to create fascinating, nighttime lighting effects. Your kids will have a blast chasing the glowing water!
Swim-up bars & table tops are a great way to enjoy a cocktail or snack in the pool. If you don’t have to get out why would you? The options are endless with built-in bar stools made of stone, tile or precast finishes and a bar top that can be adorned in glass tile or granite. Create a resort setting in your own backyard.
