What Is a Pool Shape Redesign?

Customizing Your Pool’s Structure

A pool shape redesign involves modifying the structure and layout of your existing pool to better fit your space, lifestyle, or design preferences. Whether your current pool feels outdated or impractical, redesigning its shape can enhance both aesthetics and functionality.

Popular Shape Transformations

• Rectangle to freeform lagoon

• Kidney shape to modern geometric layout

• Roman ends to sleek infinity edges

• Addition of tanning ledges, steps, or swim-outs

Why Homeowners Choose to Redesign Their Pool Shape

Improve Functionality

Maybe your current pool doesn’t offer enough shallow lounging space, or it takes up too much of your backyard. A shape redesign can improve how your pool fits and functions in your outdoor environment.

Match Modern Trends

Older pools often have dated shapes that no longer appeal to today’s style preferences. Redesigning gives your pool a sleek, updated look that increases curb appeal and resale value.

Adapt for Families or Entertaining

Adding or modifying swim-up bars, shallow zones, or deeper swim lanes can make your pool better suited for children, active swimmers, or social gatherings.

Our Pool Shape Redesign Process

Step 1: Consultation & 3D Design Planning

We begin with a personalized consultation to understand your goals, lifestyle needs, and space constraints. Our designers create 3D renderings so you can preview the transformation before construction begins.

Step 2: Demolition & Excavation

Our experienced crew safely demolishes parts of your existing pool and reshapes the shell with precision, ensuring it complies with local building codes.

Step 3: Reinforcement & Plumbing Adjustments

We reinforce the structure with new rebar and gunite as needed and make any adjustments to plumbing or electrical systems to accommodate the new layout.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

The redesigned shell is completed with your choice of pool resurfacing, tile and coping upgrades, and surrounding deck remodeling for a truly cohesive look.

Custom Features You Can Add During a Shape Redesign

Built-In Tanning Ledges

Perfect for sunbathing or lounging in shallow water, tanning ledges are popular additions during a pool shape transformation.

Waterfalls and Grottos

Natural rock waterfalls or hidden grottos enhance the luxury appeal and turn your backyard into a private resort.

Baja Shelves & Swim-Up Bars

Shallow Baja shelves and in-water seating provide functionality and flair, especially for those who love to entertain.

How Pool Shape Redesign Boosts Property Value

A Smart Long-Term Investment

Real estate experts agree: a well-designed and modern pool increases the value and desirability of your home. Buyers are drawn to functional outdoor living areas that feel customized and luxurious.
